Fees & Insurance

Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, which was enacted on January 1, 2022, health care providers are required to give a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) of expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services, to clients who do not have insurance or are not using insurance.

At the beginning of treatment, you have the right to receive a GFE for the total expected cost of psychotherapy services.

If your billed charges are at least $400 more than your GFE, you can dispute the bill.

I intentionally keep my caseload low so I am able to provide a more comprehensive, systems approach when providing therapy for your child. This means collaborating not only with you, as the parent, but also your child’s school and other providers, when necessary.

I am currently in-network with the following insurance plans:

  • Aetna

  • CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield

  • Cigna /Evernorth/Cigna EAP

  • Optum/Optum EAP

  • United Healthcare

For in-network plans, my billing company will submit claims directly to your insurance.

For out-of-network plans, you may be reimbursed for a percentage of the fees after you meet your deductible. At your request, I can provide a Superbill that you may submit to your insurer for possible reimbursement.
